Manufacturing Festivals are a brilliant way of engaging. These can be held over one or two days or even two weeks as seen at both the Bradford Manufacturing Weeks and Leeds Manufacturing Festivals.
Bradford Manufacturing Weeks
Launched by Bradford Chamber of Commerce and co-ordinated by career specialists The Opportunity Centre, Bradford Manufacturing Weeks brings manufacturers, schools young people together through tours, work experience, seminars, exhibitions and learning events held at manufacturer premises and key locations across the district.

Leeds Manufacturing Festival
Leeds has 1,645 manufacturing firms making the City the 3rd largest manufacturing centre in the country, with 29,000 people directly employed. So it's important that they engage with local Schools and Colleges to line up their future talent pool. The festival aims to raise awareness of the wide range of manufacturing companies in Leeds and help manufacturers attract the next generation of young people into this amazing industry.
M-CNC Festival of British Engineering & Manufacturing (FOBEM)
The Festival Of British Engineering & Manufacturing (FOBEM) has an ambitious goal: to reveal the innovation and creativity within the industry and signpost the multiple career paths that are literally “engineering new horizons”.
FOBEM gives students and teachers from local schools and colleges unique access to the M-CNC manufacturing facility. They can see the latest Industry 4.0 cutting-edge technologies in action and engage with a variety of industry professionals, businesses and enterprises.
